Monday

Was off today, it was a really good day. I got to go to Hobby Lobby, just me and Nicholas which is so fun because it does get kind of boring shopping by yourself and now he is at the age where he can go look at stuff he wants to look at while I am looking at the things I want to look at. And unlike Katerina, he is not constantly picking up random things and claiming them for his own. Not that she doesn't have her upsides but she's not a good shopping buddy as of yet. I think that will change in the coming years, as she is definitely a girly girl who is calling for "Calliou" right now so I've got to go!

Yay! I got my Secret person today from SIStv swap! I'm so excited to get started stalking someone. I have so many swaps going on right now! It's fun though, it gets me off my hiney and creating something!

Every time I cut an apple for Katerina or Nicholas, it gets me thinking... No one ever cut my apples. And I cut my children's apples for that reason. Something they'll take for granted, never even notice that I did for them, but they will know that I love them. I know it sounds kind of stupid, but my point is that my mom didn't do the little things, the motherly things. And it reminds me that I want to because sometimes, when you're angry at one another in the teenage years, or even pre-teen, they will still know that they are loved, because I will still be doing all those little things. When you're mad, it's easy to doubt love.

Tuesday

She did it again! Katerina slept in her own bed.

Katerina & I are getting dressed to go to Archiver's and Big Lots. I always go 1st to the place where I think I'll spend the most money and, shockingly, it's not Archiver's! I can't afford to buy more than one thing in there unless it's paper. Big shopping week for me because I've signed on to do wayyyy too many swaps! I'll be going to Hobby Lobby tonight after I drop Nicholas off at tae kwon do.

Oh and Massage Envy ticked me off last night. They called at about 5:10 pm to cancel a 6:00 appointment, the masseuse didn't show up and they're just figuring it out 50 minutes beforehand? Ugh! I work evenings and I had made this appointment for Rick and he was going to have a night to himself, massage, movies, Chinese (yuck) and they totally ruined it! He had his Chinese & movie and tonight he will get his massage but still...it was part of his 10th anniversary present.

Oh funny story, I was frantically calling every massage parlor & day spa at 5:30 trying to find someone to take him and finally got someone too, then he gave me directions to his house....Rick was not down with that. I told him it explicitly said "non-sexual" on the website and Rick says that made it official that it IS a sex massage. I said what do you think, he's going to rape you unwillingly? Every gay guy doesn't want to "do" you! He said "yes, they do" Well it's not really funny, I feel bad for the masseuse having to cancel when he put him in at the last minute, I really do think he's legitimate. Ah well, men.

Today

Sleep deprived. Both Katerina & myself. She slept in her own bed last night for the 1st time, mostly to avoid sleep deprivation, because of her sleep apnea {reason this is the 1st time}. Stayed up until 3:30 doing ATCs for SISTV. Typing with one hand - other is holding a 3 yr old's. Getting headache. Unseasonably cold-low 70's....Texas. Keeping it short.

Got an awesome book the other night on our 10th anniversary. Paper Transformed.
