Sooo Katerina fell and fractured her elbow. It is teeny tiny but still, poor thing. She is a really good sport about it. Wow, she is growing so quickly now. It is her natural inclination to cry instead of talking about her problems (i.e. when she hurts herself, she is always falling, stumbling, and biting her own tongue, sheesh at 3 years old) but it's all good. I just remind her to talk and she does well with it. I think we have made some major mistakes with both our kids.
With Nicholas it was letting him sleep with the bottle and generally using the bottle for too long. So his teeth were not pretty. But he took himself off the pacifier at only 6 months.
Katerina took herself off the bottle at 13 months, and has gorgeous teeth. But she kept her pacifier until she was just past 3, and I believe her speech suffered.
Luckily, neither are life altering, and are already fixed or on their way to being fixed.
We are having a nice little summer, going to Splashtown every week and now planning a trip to San Antonio, meeting Cathy there.
Also, got a new car and I am in LOVE! It is an 04 Toyota Corolla. Sure, maybe not some people's dream cars but I have had a think about wanting a Toyota or Honda for YEARS, and this has only been made more prevalent by the rising gas prices, $3.91 yikes! and my profession. Anyway, right now people are getting rid of their SUVs and compact cars are hard to come by. So I feel really blessed. I love love love the 27 city 35 hwy mpg!!!!
